Job summary

Advantest America Inc., part of Advantest Corporation, seeks an Application Engineer with a strong background in electronics, SW development, and ATE testing. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and optimizing test solutions for high-performance devices using Advantest’s V93000 hardware and SmarTest 8 software.

Responsibilities include creating new test methodologies, debugging test programs, and collaborating with global teams to deliver robust results.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in IC test development or application development.
• Experience with V93K SMT8.
• Demonstrated experience with bench instruments.
• Strong leadership and team-player mindset.
• Willingness to travel ~20% to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop new test methodologies and solutions for customers’ devices on V93K.
• Convert and debug test programs and support hardware interface design for customer devices on V93K.
• Optimize test programs to reduce test time and increase fault coverage.
• Solve engineering and production problems for customers.
• Collaborate with application development teams, divisions, and field personnel for project implementation.
• Communicate with customers to ensure services meet requirements.
• Document all projects and intellectual property.
• Travel to various customer and Advantest sites (minimum 20%).
