Job summary

Advantest America Inc., part of Advantest Corporation, seeks an Electronics Test Technician to perform functional, electrical, and system-level testing of assemblies and finished products.

You will operate automated test equipment, diagnose failures, and record results to support manufacturing and engineering in meeting specifications. This role involves calibration, troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams in a global semiconductor leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of electronics testing, manufacturing, repair, or technician experience.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
• Basic understanding of electronic circuits and electrical measurements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, functional, and operational testing of assemblies, modules, and finished products.
• Operate automated test stations, production test systems, and specialized diagnostic equipment.
• Follow test procedures, work instructions, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
• Verify product performance against established acceptance criteria.
• Record test results accurately within MES, databases, or quality tracking systems.
• Troubleshoot and identify failed components, assemblies, or system-level defects.
• Escalate complex failures to Engineering, Quality, or Repair teams as required.
• Perform equipment setup, calibration verification, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Support engineering validation testing and new product introduction (NPI) activities.
• Review test logs and identify recurring failures or process issues.
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
