## Application EngineerApplylocations: Troy, OHtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R\_00103318**Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!**# Responsibilities:* Apply engineering expertise to support sealing solutions across static and dynamic applications, including O-rings and emerging electrification/eMobility technologies.* Analyze warranty data, field performance, and teardown findings to identify root causes and drive continuous quality improvements.* Collaborate cross-functionally with internal experts (materials, tribology, CAE, and program management) and external customers to solve technical challenges.* Support customer programs and component reviews by providing technical input in program management meetings.* Develop and update seal designs using 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX) to meet application requirements.* Lead or support problem-solving initiatives, including corrective actions, plant quality alignment, and VA/VE cost reduction projects.* Act as a technical partner to assigned customers—promoting solutions, identifying conversion opportunities, and delivering product training and application expertise.# Qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.* 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or industrial environment.* Hands-on mechanical aptitude with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and application documentation.* Experience with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or NX.* Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact with customers.* Highly organized, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Starting at $82,000.
