Job summary

Bosch Group in Michigan seeks an engineer to advance radar- and camera-based driver assistance systems (ADAS). You will collaborate with software developers, application engineers, and project managers to deliver customer-specific ADAS solutions for next-generation vehicles.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, calibration, and integration across vehicle platforms, with close interaction with internal teams and external OEMs to ensure robust system performance and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle testing, system integration, application, validation, and requirements engineering for radar and camera‑based driver assistance functions (e.g., lateral control, road‑departure mitigation, predictive emergency braking, traffic‑sign recognition, headlight control, and autonomous driving features).
• Lead radar and camera integration activities, including debugging and troubleshooting using automotive tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, and MATLAB.
• Conduct bench and vehicle testing (public roads and test tracks).
• Calibrate radar and camera sensor algorithms using in‑vehicle and simulation/bench environments to meet objective and subjective customer and internal performance targets.
• Support feature development with emphasis on integration and system‑level behavior.
• Participate in feature reviews, focusing on system performance, robustness, and interface alignment.
• Recommend software or logic enhancements for issues not solvable through parameter tuning.
• Ensure system development, validation, and delivery in accordance with internal processes and guidelines.
• Support customer test drives and represent Bosch in technical discussions.
• Serve as the first point of contact for OEMs on application topics; prepare and deliver technical presentations.
• Conduct pre‑analysis of customer‑reported issues or defects identified during internal validation.
• Analyze in‑vehicle performance issues and propose corrective actions.
