Job Summary

The Application Engineer is responsible for sizing and troubleshooting products within the product line, designing customized products for unique customer applications, and providing engineering support to customer care.

Key Accountabilities

• Aids in the design and development of equipment and systems, and redesign of existing systems to fulfill customer needs, also communicating product challenges and customer‑specific requirements for resolution.
• Provides equipment functionality and capability reports to the sales force and acts as a technical liaison to the sales team.
• Delivers technical product and design assistance to internal and external customers.
• Coordinates additional support activities and post‑sales technical support with engineering departments.
• Draws, checks, and quotes ACAD sales drawings/submittals.
• Manages large sales projects.
• Produces presentations and product comparisons to assist sales.
• Assists in producing sales drawings and siphonic drain layouts.
• Provides tolerancing assistance for made‑to‑order products.
• Determines product technical strengths and weaknesses versus competition.

Qualifications and Requirements

• BS in Mechanical or Plastics Engineering with 0‑2 years of experience in the field or related area.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
• Strong teamwork, presentation, project management, and verbal/written communication skills.
• ACAD/Inventor computer skills.
• Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.
• Customer‑driven sense of urgency.
• Ability to lead, train, and drive change.
• Self‑motivated individual able to multi‑task effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
