About Our Client

Our client is a well‑established and leading manufacturer in the aviation and marine industry with over 60 years of success. Known for innovation, precision, and excellence, they are offering a rare opportunity for a technically skilled professional to transition from hands‑on avionics work into a sales‑focused role with extensive training, career growth, and a real chance to make an impact.

Why This Role is Exciting

If you’re an avionics technician ready to stop “turning wrenches” and take your expertise into a customer‑facing sales role, this is your chance. You’ll leverage your hands‑on experience to drive new business and program growth for solid‑state frequency converters across U.S. and allied military and general aviation platforms. This role combines technical know‑how with solution selling, offering the ideal platform for someone hungry to grow in sales while staying close to the technology they know best.

What You’ll Do
  • Applications Support & Solution Selling: Engage with program offices, base engineers, depots, primes, and MROs to understand needs and recommend the right solution for hangar, flight‑line, and platform applications.
  • Spec & Drawing Analysis: Review technical specs, SOWs, schematics, and drawings for military and general aviation applications; identify compliance and value‑add opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the creation of technical and commercial quotes; coordinate internal reviews and sales strategies.
  • Program & Account Growth: Build strong relationships with key bases, MROs, contractors, primes, and resellers to achieve sales goals.
  • Post‑Delivery Follow‑Up: Track installed systems, capture lessons learned, and provide feedback to improve future proposals and product roadmap.
  • Forecasting & Pipeline Management: Maintain CRM with accurate opportunity status and forecasting.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor offerings and industry trends to inform product and sales strategies.
  • Collateral & Events Support: Assist with datasheets, customer‑facing presentations, case studies, trade shows, and customer visits.
Who You Are
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience operating, repairing, or maintaining solid‑state frequency converters or related aircraft power electronics (400 Hz AC, 270 VDC, 28 VDC).
  • Familiar with onboard frequency converters, aircraft electrical systems, and hangar/fixed‑mount installations.
  • Comfortable interpreting technical drawings/specs and mapping requirements to configurable products.
  • Experienced bridging the gap between Sales/Marketing and Engineering to deliver program wins.
  • A results‑oriented, self‑starting communicator who can move seamlessly between shop‑floor practicality and executive program‑level discussions.
  • Strong technical writing, presentation skills, and CRM discipline; proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable leveraging AI tools for productivity.
  • Documented U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred (BSEE/BSEET) or equivalent hands‑on military/MRO experience with strong electrical knowledge.
Nice‑to‑Have/Pluses
  • Experience with DoD procurement, UFGS, USAF/USN/USMC facility standards, or NAVFAC/USACE projects.
  • Prior service as an aircraft electrician, avionics technician, or power systems field service engineer.
  • Full‑time salary plus a monthly stipend.
  • Extensive training to transition from technical hands‑on work into sales.
  • Opportunity to work on high‑impact programs with a leading aviation and marine manufacturer.
  • Full‑time on‑site position in Dallas, Texas, in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
