Job summary

Allied Universal Technology Services is hiring an Application Engineer to support installation and service teams with software integration, troubleshooting, and system commissioning. You will upgrade and diagnose complex security systems, ensuring seamless operation across multiple software platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with project teams, end users, and licensing management, while maintaining detailed records and contributing to training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience programming and troubleshooting access control and video systems.
• Read and understand advanced technical information and documentation.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Word)

Responsibilities

• Configure LAN and networks to ensure reliable connectivity and performance.
• Perform and design test procedures to verify proper configuration and device performance.

• Lead end-user training and manage licensing to ensure successful adoption and continuous development.

The Application Engineer supports installation and service teams with software integration, ensuring seamless operation between multiple software applications. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, programming, system commissioning, upgrades, and advanced diagnostics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Integrate electronic security systems to deliver cohesive, advanced solutions
• Configure LAN and networks to ensure reliable connectivity and performance

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience programming and troubleshooting access control and video systems
• Decision-making and problem-solving ability
• Ability to read and understand advanced technical information and documentation
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint and Word)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• College degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
• Certification(s) with access control systems and video platforms, such as AMAG, Lenel, Milestone, Genetec, Software House, or similar
