Job summary

The Cigna Group in Charlotte, NC seeks an Application Development Advisor to lead ETL design, development and deployment across enterprise projects. You will shape data extraction, transformation and loading, leveraging IBM DataStage and modern data fabrics.

Responsibilities include building scalable ETL architectures, writing complex SQL, guiding teams, and developing CI/CD pipelines for production deployments. A hybrid work model is offered, with emphasis on data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience; 3–4 year degrees accepted.
• Experience in healthcare domain and developing ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.
• Master data management using Reltio; Apache Kafka; Amazon S3; IBM DataStage Designer.
• Writing complex SQL queries to develop and test the ETL requirements.
• Using relational databases for source and target migration including Teradata, Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server; Kafka Topics; APIs; JSON; XML.
• Using CA WA Workstation to create, manage, and schedule ESPs.
• Using SQL editors such as Teradata Studio, Toad for Oracle, and Toad for IBM DB2; Postman; WinSCP; Putty; UltraEdit; and NotePad++.

• Schedule ETL jobs using ESP; test and deploy in Production.

• Perform comprehensive application test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
• Execute data mapping activities including source-to-target mappings and conversions to multiple formats.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless ETL integrations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance through robust architecture, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications
