Marathon Consulting seeks an Application Developer in Virginia Beach, VA for a hybrid role serving Hampton Roads clients. You will design and develop web apps using ASP.NET, MVC/Razor/Blazor, and C#, plus RESTful services and Azure-based backends.

The position emphasizes collaboration in an Agile team, mentoring peers, and integrating third-party systems. A BS/BA in a tech field is preferred with 4+ years of C#/.NET experience.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of object-oriented application programming in C#/.NET.
• 2 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server/Azure SQL incl. SPs, schema design, T-SQL, tuning.
• Experience with Cloud Services like Azure or AWS.
• Experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
• Familiarity with architectural concepts, patterns, standards.
• Nice-to-have: .NET Core, Blazor, Azure, LLMs, containers (Kubernetes/Docker), JS frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop web applications using ASP.NET, MVC/Razor/Blazor and C#.
• Design and develop web APIs/REST services in support of SOA.
• Develop relational databases to back transactional systems.
• Work in Azure dev envs (Git, Azure SQL, App Services, Functions).
• Collaborate in Agile teams and mentor others on best practices.

# Application Developer – Virginia Beach, VA (Hybrid)Marathon Consulting is seeking an application developer to serve clients throughout the Hampton Roads, VA area, including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, and Newport News.
