Job description

Kilda Group LLC is seeking a technically skilled and client-oriented professional to support the assessment, development, implementation, and optimization of technology solutions on federal modernization projects. This role emphasizes hands-on development using Pega and other low-code/no-code platforms, combined with strong programming, database, integration, and user experience design expertise to deliver efficient process automation and modern applications for federal clients.

In the near term, you will focus on designing, developing, and optimizing solutions leveraging Pega's platform (or similar low-code tools), while contributing to full-stack elements including custom code, database performance, APIs, and visually appealing, user-centered interfaces.

At Kilda Group, our consultants are agile, adaptable, and multi-talented professionals who thrive in dynamic environments. Candidates should be excited about continuous learning and open to mastering new technologies throughout their career with us.

This is currently a remote position supporting federal clients in Eastern time zones, with potential for future onsite work in the DC-metro area. Employees of Kilda Group must reside in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, or Delaware.

You will join a collaborative team leading project management, assessment, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and optimization activities to meet client requirements and exceed stakeholder expectations. You must demonstrate strong initiative, work comfortably with minimal guidance, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop or contribute to reports, briefings, and direct client interactions.

Key Responsibilities

As part of a small project implementation team (typically 5–7 individuals), you will:

  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into robust application solutions.
  • Design and develop low-code/no-code solutions using Pega (or similar platforms), incorporating custom programming where needed for enhanced functionality.
  • Lead technical integrations, providing high-level development and configuration expertise to deliver robust, well-refined solutions.
  • Adopt a strategic, holistic mindset that accounts for the entire process and long-term objectives, rather than configuring in isolation for individual stories.
  • Create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces with a strong focus on user experience (UX), interaction design, and usability.
  • Develop and optimize database schemas, write efficient QL queries, and perform performance tuning to ensure scalability and responsiveness.
  • Build and maintain integrations, including REST APIs and other connectivity solutions, to enable seamless data flow between systems.
  • Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing focused on functionality, performance, and usability.
  • Provide technical insight and guidance during implementation, lead reviews/assessments of project tasks and deliverables, and recommend process improvements based on best practices.
  • Identify potential issues or roadblocks proactively, research solutions, and implement effective fixes.
  • Assess and improve job aids, training materials, and documentation to meet client and internal standards.
  • Support internal Kilda Group initiatives related to process improvement and business development as needed.
  • Interface directly with clients to understand functional needs, present solutions, and ensure alignment with expectations.
Required Qualifications
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Residing in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, or the District of Columbia, or willing to relocate.
  • Active or adjudicated IRS MBI.
  • Ability to pass background check(s) and obtain/hold additional required government clearance(s).
  • 3–6+ years of previous consulting and/or IT experience in federal or enterprise environments.
  • Proficient in interfacing with clients to gather and refine functional requirements.
  • Strong initiative and willingness to invest time in continuous learning, especially related to the technical platforms in use.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability and willingness to travel to headquarters in Severna Park, MD, and/or client sites in the DC-metro area as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Residing within the Washington DC-Baltimore Metro area.
  • Relevant certifications, such as: Agile/SCRUM, Salesforce, PMP, or Cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM, CCSP).
  • $150 monthly internet/cell phone stipend
  • Company-Paid (100% paid for Employee-Only) Healthcare benefits including medical & dental
  • Company-Paid Short Term Disability Insurance, Long Term Disability Insurance, and AD&D Insurance
  • 401K with employer contribution and annual profit-sharing participation
  • 11 Federal Holidays per year (Paid)
  • Graduated scale of Paid Time Off (PTO) per year
  • KG-owned laptop, monitor, mouse, and keyboard
