Job description

**CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer – Java & Web Technologies opening for our client in Phoenix, AZ.**

**Location:** Onsite in Phoenix, AZ or NYC, NY

**Duration:** 7 months

**Duties:**

+ Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java-based applications and web technologies to support enterprise-level business functions.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software components.

+ Build and maintain scalable data integration solutions using Big Data ETL processes and frameworks.

+ Work with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), to develop and deploy data pipelines and microservices.

+ Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices and standards.

+ Document development processes and support application lifecycle management.

**Skills:**

+ Strong proficiency in Java, including object-oriented design and modern frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, etc.).

+ Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, and Angular or React.

+ Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive) and ETL processes.

+ Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and design.

+ Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Dataflow, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

**Experience:**

+ 5+ years of hands-on application development experience using Java and related web technologies.

+ 3+ years of experience with Big Data ETL tools and data warehousing environments.

+ Previous work with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

+ Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments is preferred.

**Education:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
