Job summary

Essential Utilities, Inc., operating as Aqua and Peoples/Delta brands, seeks an Application Developer II to design, develop, and maintain application solutions that support core business operations. Work with IT analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver high-quality code, troubleshoot issues, and participate in system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

3+ years of application development experience, or 1+ year in an Application Developer I role.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft development tools, .NET frameworks, or SAP ABAP.
Ability to complete technical tasks independently and collaborate with IT analysts and business stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to deliver high-quality work in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support application solutions aligned to business needs
Work independently, with minimal direction, to complete assigned technical tasks
Collaborate with IT analysts and business users to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner
Participate in system enhancements, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to development standards
Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
