Job summary

Greenheck Group, a global leader in air movement and ventilation, is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer for its Wisconsin team. You will develop, enhance and troubleshoot SAP ABAP applications and participate in S/4HANA modernization initiatives using Fiori, OData and BTP.

Required 2–4 years of ABAP experience, familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, and an associate or higher degree. Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package offered.

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData Services preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP custom code remediation and modernization efforts preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP clean core principles and extensibility concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, maintain and troubleshoot SAP ABAP applications.
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA initiatives and modernization efforts using Fiori, OData, and BTP.
  • Develops, modifies and maintains application software to support internal and external processes.
  • Meet with analysts and project leaders to understand requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborate with users, analysts and project team members to define solution requirements.
  • Maintain existing code with minimal guidance and perform unit testing.
  • Document revisions and overall solution design.
  • Create new applications based on analyst specifications.
  • Develop training documentation for software that is clear and detailed.
  • Assist in installation guides and troubleshooting documentation.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day application issues and provide debugging support.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Develop, enhance, maintain and troubleshoot SAP applications and custom solutions using ABAP.
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA initiatives, including custom code remediation, clean core practices, and modernization efforts utilizing technologies such as Fiori, OData, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
  • Develops, modifies and maintains application software to support both the internal and external business processes.
  • Meets with analysts and project leaders to understand requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborates with users, analysts and project team members to assist in defining solution requirements.
  • Maintain existing code under minimal guidance from team
  • Perform unit testing on programming changes.
  • Document program revisions and overall solution design.
  • Create new applications based on specifications provided by analysts.
  • Develop application and training documentation for software that is clear, succinct, accurate, and appropriately detailed.
  • Assist in the creation or maintenance of application installation and troubleshooting guides for programs designed/developed.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day application issues and provides debugging support as needed.
  • Test and identify best solutions, and create solution documents.
  • Provide support as needed in case of outages, job failures, implementations, etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues with systems worked with on a consistent basis.
  • With guidance from systems analysts, is able to understand and translate system requirements/technical specifications in the development process.
  • Understand specifications, and assists, where needed, in developing technical specifications.
  • Assists in formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex applications.
  • Involved in technical discussions with other developers
  • Help train end users on new applications or enhancements to existing applications.
  • Constructively offer feedback and ideas for improvements in applications, processes, systems, and areas of a technical nature.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Experience developing and supporting SAP applications using ABAP required.
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience required.
  • 4 Year / Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData Services preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP custom code remediation and modernization efforts preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP clean core principles and extensibility concepts preferred.
  • Experience using SAP development tools such as ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC) preferred.
  • Familiarity with SAP Joule for Developers or AI-assisted development tools preferred.
  • Understands in-depth environment specific functionality available related to technical systems.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base pay range for this position is $85,731-$105,903 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
