Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an Application Developer to design and support business-critical applications, aligning with operational and strategic goals. You will lead activities within the Contract Activity Management Program, overseeing releases and lifecycle plans across development and support teams.

The role requires a degree in a related field and strong Angular, analytics, and project management skills, with a hybrid work arrangement (2-3 days onsite) in the Birmingham/Atlanta areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS, business, or another related field is required.
• Demonstrated technical understanding of how application frameworks and other technologies can meet business requirements.
• Knowledge of Power Delivery functions or similar business domains is desirable.
• Experience supporting financial applications is desirable.
• Development experience with recent Angular versions is desirable.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and how they can solve business needs.
• Proven history of achieving measurable business results while collaborating with others.
• Strong analytic, critical thinking, and project management skills.
