Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a full stack software engineer to lead development efforts for hosting solutions. You will design backend services, implement REST APIs, and contribute to frontend work using Angular, with Java Spring Boot and MySQL.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in CI/CD practices, and help build robust interfaces with strong security and compliance. Office-based role with role-based flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate across cross functional teams, both verbally and in written form.
  • Demonstrated deep ability to develop REST API services, including all facets of the work (data structures, business logic, and interfaces).
  • Experience working with industry standard interface frameworks and protocols, commonly leveraged to deliver microservices.
  • Working knowledge of testing methodologies and integrations.
  • Knowledge of Front end UI development technologies used to deliver Single Page Applications (SPAs).
  • Technologies: Java Spring Boot, MySQL, Angular
  • Horizon CI/CD tool knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Performs Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) activities
  • Contributes to story refinement and definition of requirements
  • Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • May supervise associates and contribute to Talent development

LOB Description

This position will be helping to lead development efforts to deliver an application to streamline the design and maintenance of our hosting solutions. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a full understanding of the SDLC and be able to function as a full stack developer, with a deep understanding of backend technologies.
  • Design and deliver elegant solutions based upon requirements from key stakeholders
  • Create and maintain documentation to help others understand and leverage the solutions being developed
  • Deliver solutions which integrate with external systems to consume data through various interfaces (REST API, SFTP, S3, etc.)
  • Provide interfaces for both internal and external communications, including appropriate capabilities for enforcing security and entitlements.
  • Design and develop database structures to meet business needs.
  • Participate in front end development efforts to help with added velocity as needed.
  • Have a fundamental knowledge of IaaC concepts and tools
  • Have experience in designing or developing hosting solutions
