Job summary

Akina, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a Software Engineer with a focus on reverse engineering and AI-assisted tooling. You will design and build tooling for RE workflows and explore autonomous agents to assist development.

The role requires hands-on experience with RE tools like Ghidra/IDA, low-level concepts, and scripting. Collaborative work with customers and teammates is essential, with a strong emphasis on measurable improvements and secure, scalable software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or CE with 6+ years of software/system development experience.
Masters +4 years of SWE experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
Experience with RE tools and scripting to support analysis workflows.

Responsibilities

Design and build tooling enhancements for RE workflows.
Experiment with autonomous or semi-autonomous agents to support development.
Automate common RE tasks, including analysis and documentation.
Apply AI-assisted techniques to binary analysis, annotation, and pattern identification.
Work directly with customers and teammates to shape and refine solutions.
Measure and document the effectiveness of tooling improvements.
