This role involves developing and enhancing a suite of services designed to automate enterprise-wide applications and data-centric mission management tools. The successful candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of software developers, ETL specialists, and data scientists to improve existing applications and build new web services on a consistent, iterative basis aligned with Agile methodologies. The role requires active participation in integrating AI/ML technologies into web applications, designing and developing scalable solutions, and providing demonstrations to diverse audiences. The candidate will be responsible for translating stakeholder requirements into technical specifications, developing prototypes, and maintaining comprehensive documentation. The position emphasizes collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement to meet evolving user needs and operational demands.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, with at least six years of relevant experience. A master’s degree can substitute for an additional two years of experience. They should have demonstrated expertise in agile software development, including Scrum and Kanban, with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub. Extensive experience in building web applications using frameworks like Angular, React, or JavaScript is essential, with knowledge of Java Spring being a plus. The candidate must have a solid background in Linux operating systems and cloud computing, with 4-6 years of experience deploying applications within Commercial Cloud Services (C2S), AWS, or similar platforms like Azure, Oracle, or Google Cloud.
Additional qualifications include experience with search and analytic tools such as ElasticSearch, Solr, or OpenSearch, as well as ETL processes involving large structured and unstructured datasets. Strong skills in object-oriented programming languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or SQL are required, along with experience in microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker or Podman. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to work independently and within team environments, managing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
