Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking an Application Delivery Technical Lead to guide software engineers, align solutions with IT standards, and deliver enterprise software.

You will mentor teams, contribute code, and partner with architects and business users to solve complex problems. A CS degree and 5+ years in software development with Java, RPG, SQL, Angular, and API design are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in database technologies.
• 5 years of experience on projects applying SDLC.
• 3 years of experience in systems analysis and high-level design.
• Experience in programming and software development including RPG, Java, SQL, Angular, APIs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides consultation on business requirements and design software solutions.
• Reviews the development or modification of complex software solutions.
• Balance design/mentorship with hands-on code delivery.
• Develops and validates complex software design prototypes.
• Lead technical direction for software solutions and interfaces.
• Document requirements, design, and test scripts.
