Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking an Application Analyst to support and enhance TUHS applications. You will analyze both technical and functional aspects, define requirements, and develop data models while educating cross-functional teams on system functionality.

The role is hybrid, with three on-site days weekly, and focuses on applying vendor releases, testing upgrades, and addressing defects within a healthcare IT environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a related role with proficient ability to troubleshoot, research, and solve complex problems.
• General experience and knowledge of basic hardware configurations, database management tools, and query language.
• Experience with HL7 v2.x interface development.
• Experience Intersystems IRIS for Health/Healthshare Health Connect/Ensemble/Cache.
• General experience in Healthcare IT is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Application Analyst is responsible for supporting and enhancing TUHS applications. This includes adding new features, testing applying vendor releases/system upgrades, and addressing system defects. Additionally, will analyze the technical and functional aspects of the application, define system requirements, and develop logical data models. Will also educate cross-functional application teams and TUHS stakeholders on system functionality, adhere to change management procedures, thoroughly document assigned applications, and communicate all application changes to internal department teams.

This role will be a hybrid position, requiring three days on site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required


• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field Preferred

Experience

• 2 Years experience in related role with proficient ability to troubleshoot, research, and solve complex problems (Required)


• General Experience and knowledge of basic hardware configurations, database management tools, and query language (Required)


• Experience with HL7 v2.x interface development
