Job summary

Gravity IT Resources is seeking a Senior Application Specialist to own the organization’s core financial systems, with a primary focus on Sage 300. This role sits at the intersection of IT and Accounting and involves ensuring system stability, optimizing workflows, and supporting critical accounting operations.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years supporting financial systems or ERP platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Sage 300 (or Sage 100 / Sage CRE).
• Experience supporting QuickBooks in a business environment.
• Exposure to Tipalti and/or Molo is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting processes (AP, AR, GL, etc.).
• Experience working cross-functionally with accounting, IT, and business teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sage 300 Ownership: Act as the internal SME for Sage 300, managing configurations, workflows, permissions, and day‑to‑day system performance.
• Application Support: Provide functional support across key financial systems including Sage 300, QuickBooks, Tipalti, and Molo — troubleshooting issues and supporting end users.
• Workflow & System Optimization: Partner with accounting and operations teams to configure and enhance workflows, approvals, and system usage aligned to business processes.
• Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate and maintain reports directly within Sage 300, delivering insights to accounting leadership and key stakeholders.
• Data Integrity & System Integration: Monitor and maintain data flow across systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial platforms.
• Release & Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with SaaS vendors on system updates, participate in UAT, and communicate impacts to internal teams.
• Access & Security Management: Administer user roles, permissions, and access controls to maintain compliance and proper segregation of duties.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and automate manual processes using existing system capabilities.
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, workflows, and internal processes.

This individual will serve as the internal subject matter expert responsible for ensuring system stability, optimizing workflows, and supporting business‑critical accounting operations.
