Job Title: Appliance Technician

Worksite Status: Onsite

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly

Location: New York, NY

Overview

You will be a member of the StuyTown team, troubleshooting and maintaining appliances in both occupied and vacant apartments while representing our property and culture to residents.

Responsibilities

• Repair appliances in both occupied and vacant apartments.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair appliances located within our shop.
• Run diagnostics on all appliances to repair and return to operation in a timely manner.
• Assist other Techs with repairs.
• Manage inventory of refurbished appliances.
• Represent the property by answering resident questions and being helpful while upholding our cultural responsibilities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by your Supervisor.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of appliance service experience or equivalent education.
• Proficiency with a tablet‑based work order program.

• Availability for weekends or overtime on occasion.

• Good time‑management and organizational skills.

• Valid Driver’s License and enrollment in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 lbs.

Hourly Rate: $31.67
