Job summary

koundinyasa Technology Services is seeking a senior mobile automation tester to design, develop, and maintain Appium scripts for iOS and Android. You will collaborate with development and product teams to craft test cases and execute automated and manual tests, reporting defects promptly.

Ideally 5–8 years in software testing with 3–5 years in Appium-based mobile automation, plus strong Java/Python/JavaScript scripting skills and CI/CD experience in Jenkins and Git.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5 to 8 years in software testing, with at least 3-5 years in Appium-based mobile automation.
  • Automation Skills: Automating mobile apps (iOS and Android) using Appium, Selenium, and TestNG.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in Java, Python, or JavaScript for writing automation scripts.
  • Mobile Testing: Strong understanding of iOS and Android ecosystems.
  • API Testing: REST API testing using Postman or SoapUI and integrating with automation.
  • Test Management: Familiar with JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM for test design and defect tracking.
  • CI/CD: Experience with Jenkins, Git, Maven, or Gradle in CI pipelines.
  • Cross-Platform: Testing across devices, screen sizes, OS versions.
  • Performance Testing: Knowledge of load testing tools like JMeter (plus).
  • Frameworks: Page Object Model and other design patterns.

  • Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and best practices, and integrate them into the testing framework.

Nice-to-Have


  • Exposure to cloud-based mobile testing platforms like BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or AWS Device Farm.

  • Knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

  • Experience with security testing or mobile accessibility testing.
