Overview

GovCIO is currently seeking an Appian Frontend Integration Developer to collaborate with cross-functional teams dedicated to delivering impactful features. This pivotal role will coordinate development efforts across departments to ensure timely and efficient feature rollouts. This position is fully remote and available to candidates within the Continental United States (CONUS).

Responsibilities

The Appian Frontend Integration Developer will provide guidance on Appian product configuration, mapping requirements and rulesets to Appian objects and process flows, design review, performance testing, scaling, and industry-specific knowledge.

• Liaise with customers to collect, clarify, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical design and implementation.
• Produce rulesets, configurations, process workflows, and technical solutions for development and support requirement gathering sessions.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of the client enterprise and lead large, multi-year program initiatives.
• Create and maintain business process and technical documentation, including workflows, architecture diagrams, interface diagrams, and design best practices.
• Participate in meetings with clients, business analysis teams, and internal technical and operational teams.
• Design, implement, and translate software requirements into Appian applications and prototypes, especially with Appian 18.x and above.
• Implement best practices across the entire software development lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to government or industry configuration management procedures and standards.
• Utilize automated tools to support configuration management efforts.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of software development and government documentation standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in defining and documenting architecture for technology implementations.
• Experience in Enterprise Application Integration (SOA, ESB) and n-tier architectures.
• Experience in all phases of software development for large-scale, business-critical applications following Agile methodologies.
• Experience in Business Architecture, Business Process Modeling, and Optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Appian, including developing Appian Plugins.
• Knowledge of application servers like JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, Tomcat.
• Proficiency in configuring, debugging, and systems integration, including forms, reports, and interface components.
• Ability to present demos to customers and translate business needs into solution architecture requirements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Over 2 years of recent experience in a federal government project.
• Certified Level 3 Appian Developer.
• Experience with industry platforms like IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBOSS, HADOOP, Java, and .NET.
• Experience working with Appian Sites and Agile frameworks.
• Ability to understand both the big picture and short-term project details.

Clearance Required: Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
