Job summary

Maximus is seeking a skilled Appian Engineer to join our federal contract team in the U.S. public sector. You will develop and configure complex enterprise applications using Appian components, design secure RESTful integrations, perform SQL data modeling, and troubleshoot performance issues.

Collaboration in an Agile/Scrum environment is required, with exposure to AI/automation and Appian AI. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Public Trust clearance are required.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development experience (v17.x or higher).
• Proficiency in SQL, relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex enterprise applications using Appian components (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Web APIs).
• Design and implement secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AI & Automation: familiarity with AI technologies, AI/ML/LLM integration, generative AI solutions.
