Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Appian Journeyman Developer to design, develop, and implement Appian-based applications that meet complex business needs. The role emphasizes problem-solving, analytical thinking, and strong communication across cross-functional teams.

Applicants must be a US citizen able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance, with a minimum of 3 years in Appian development and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Travel up to 10% and standard EST hours apply.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and ability to obtain public trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, etc.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience including at least three (3) years of Appian development
• Active Appian Associate Developer certifications and ability to achieve additional relevant certifications upon hire
• Experience with Appian platform, including Appian SAIL, Process Modeler, Rules, etc
• Experience with Java, SQL, and web services
• Understanding of Appian development best practices and ability to design/integrate across systems
• Selected candidate must be able to work Eastern Standard Hours

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other developers to design and develop Appian-based applications
• Develop custom plug-ins, interfaces, and services using Appian
• Configure Appian environments, including user management, design, and integration with other systems
• Design and develop Appian interfaces using Appian SAIL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to Appian development
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Appian applications
• Collaborate on proof of concept and other activities as new Appian product and technical capabilities are released
