Goodell DeVries, Leech & Dann LLP seeks an Associate Attorney to join the Appellate and Critical Motions practice group in Baltimore. The ideal candidate is a gifted legal writer with a passion for research and writing, and experience in appellate matters.

Candidates with appellate and federal clerkship experience or a disagreement with BigLaw’s mass-attrition model are encouraged to apply. Maryland/bar admission preferred, with DC/VA a plus. Competitive benefits and salary offered.

Qualifications

• Gifted legal writer with strong research and drafting skills.
• Appellate and federal clerkship experience preferred.
• Wirms a commitment to high-quality brief drafting and oral advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop appellate and critical motions strategy with the team.
• Work closely with experienced trial lawyers on complex litigation.
• Represent clients in appellate filings and prepare persuasive briefs and motions.
