Job summary

Kubicki Draper is seeking an Appellate Associate Attorney to join our Tampa office. We are looking for a motivated attorney with 2+ years of experience who possesses exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.

We will also consider recent law school graduates with strong academic credentials and Moot Court and/or Law Review experience who are interested in developing a career in appellate law.

Qualifications

• Strong academic credentials.

• Strong and persuasive oral advocacy skills.
• Judicial clerkship experience preferred.
• Prior appellate and/or insurance coverage experience preferred.
• Highly organized with clear and effective communication.

• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and interested in long-term professional growth.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Westlaw.
• Licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex legal research and analysis involving civil law matters.
• Draft and edit appellate briefs.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, responses, and other legal documents.
• Conduct insurance coverage analysis.
• Assist with appellate strategy and case development.
• Collaborate with attorneys throughout the firm on complex legal and appellate issues.
