Position Summary

Boyd & Jenerette is seeking a dedicated and driven Appellate and Litigation Support Attorney to join our team. This role requires a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and a drive to contribute to the success of both the team and our clients. The position involves providing trial support and appellate work in insurance defense related matters.

Location & Commitments

• Practice Area / Department: Appellate and Litigation/Trial Support
• Status: Full‑time / Exempt
• Work Location: The attorney may work remotely or at an office near one of the firm’s offices.

Responsibilities

• Work with trial counsel to provide litigation and trial support in insurance defense related matters.
• Handle all aspects of appeals.
• Attend trial if necessary to serve as appellate counsel and provide trial support.
• Conduct legal research, assist with preparation for hearings, and provide legal counsel to clients.
• Analyze legal matters, advise clients, and negotiate on their behalf.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client files for easy access by the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Competencies

• 5 or more years’ experience in insurance‑related law (first and third‑party actions, insurance coverage and bad faith, personal injury, auto liability, premises liability, property damage, and/or products liability).
• Strong legal research and writing background.
• Florida Bar admission.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Must meet billing goal expectations.
