The role requires a high school diploma, 1–3 years in appeals, strong Microsoft Office skills, and excellent written and oral communication to resolve denials and improve performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years appeals experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Customer-focused with strong attention to detail and communication.
• Familiarity with appeals and healthcare business office experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as support for Appeals Department and address concerns.
• Coordinate training of new hires and in-services.
• Collaborate with Appeals Manager to resolve denials.
• Review denials to monitor trends and provide feedback.
• Develop departmental goals with manager.
• Build relationships with payer representatives.
• Create and review daily, weekly and monthly reports.
