Job summary

QVC Group in West Chester, PA is seeking a Tech Designer to create technical product development packets for apparel, lead fittings, and guide styles from concept to graded specs across multiple brands. You will build detailed tech packs in PLM, attend proto fittings, oversee pattern making, grading, draping, and ensure fit and construction meet brand standards.

This hybrid role requires travel to vendors and international markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in fashion design or related program.
• Minimum 6-8 years industry experience within Technical Design.
• Understanding of Technical Design process and product construction.
• Knowledge of how product is sourced, developed and marketed.
• Must understand how to work in PLM System.
• Strong pattern-making, grading, draping skills.
• Knowledge of garment construction and fitting skills.
• Proficiency in PC operation, MS Office and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Travel: required to travel to meet with vendors and suppliers; potential for international multi-market travel.

Responsibilities

• Attend development meetings with designers, merchants and vendors to interpret vision and provide technical guidance.
• Build detailed tech packs in PLM using sketches, BOM and construction details; participate in proto fittings and implement changes.
• Support product lifecycle from concept through final production approval.
• Maintain fit aesthetics and develop a library of blocks/patterns to ensure standards and expedite production.
• Lead weekly fit sessions, adjust patterns, analyze construction and verify compliance with tech packs.
