New Balance seeks an innovative Tech Design/Developer to craft high-quality, performance-driven apparel. You will interpret design concepts, develop technical specs, and collaborate with designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to move products from concept to final execution.

You’ll lead 3D product creation and pattern development, ensuring feasible, scalable, and stylish designs that meet market needs while traveling internationally to work with teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clothing & Textiles, Apparel Design, or related field with at least 7 years of technical design experience (3-5 years in 3D product creation).
• Deep knowledge of pattern making, grading, and construction across a variety of product types (performance and fashion).
• Proficiency with 3D creation tools and pattern-making software; familiarity with PLM and design software.
• Willingness to travel internationally to collaborate with teams and vendors.
• Creative thinker with a track record of improving workflows and processes; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine patterns for a wide range of product types, ensuring technical accuracy and fit consistency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, engineers, and manufacturing teams from concept to final execution.
• Utilize 3D design and prototyping tools to test and refine concepts while ensuring high quality.
• Understand manufacturing processes to ensure designs are feasible and producible.
• Establish and evolve fit, sizing, and craft standards to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Apply knowledge of apparel market trends to deliver functional, comfortable, and stylish products.
