Job summary

New Balance is seeking a seasoned Materials/Textile Engineer to lead product creation from concept to commercial readiness. You will collaborate with designers, researchers and managers across materials, sourcing and quality teams to deliver innovative footwear solutions.

You will apply your expertise in knitting, weaving, dyeing, finishing and materials testing to drive sustainable material palettes and global manufacturing alignment.

Qualifications

• MS or equivalent in Textile/Materials engineering or related field.
• 9+ years professional experience with material R&D and development.
• Experience supporting global manufacturing in materials engineering.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Influences teams with materials engineering expertise across product creation cycles.
• Identify opportunities to partner with suppliers for sustainable materials and processes.
• Lead validation of final products and material specifications for commercialization.
• Communicate progress, timelines and risk management clearly to stakeholders.
