Job summary

Isaac Morris Limited (IML) in New York City seeks a sourcing professional to collaborate with the Director of Sourcing, manage overseas factory relationships, and optimize our fabric and production costs while ensuring timely delivery.

The role focuses on maintaining calendars, reviewing tech packs, and leading strategic sourcing initiatives to improve profitability and supply chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Sourcing.
• Experience in sourcing out of Asia and Africa.
• Experience in working with overseas factories.
• Monitor open fabric and production capacity reservations and liabilities to ensure factories are level loaded.
• Develop and execute seasonal calendars to maintain deadlines.
• Review tech packs to ensure cost targets and design features are aligned.
• Negotiate best costs without compromising quality or on-time deliveries.
• Maintain and update all costing history.
• Review time and action calendars before orders are placed to ensure feasible lead-times.
• Manage creation and processing of purchase orders with accuracy and policy compliance.
• Monitor each accounts gross profit margin.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on sourcing activities and supplier performance.
• Help develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize supply chain operations.
• Regular store visits to inspect on-floor product, identify white space, manufacturing locations and price points.
• Assist with departmental projects as needed.
• Experience with printing and wash techniques is a plus.

Role Description

• Will work closely with the Director of Sourcing.
