Job summary

Goodwill South Florida is seeking an Apparel Assistant Production Supervisor for the Miami plant. The role focuses on supervising sewing operators, maintaining production quotas, and ensuring quality products while keeping the line stocked and safe.

Training and coaching of workers are part of the responsibilities. Candidate should demonstrate teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work with diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Six to twelve months of related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to supervise and motivate sewing operators to meet production quotas.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising sewing machine operators to meet daily production quotas.
• Move personnel to areas needing help and sew when machines are vacant.
• Motivate sewers to achieve production goals and keep materials flowing.
• Stock the line as required and report production or mechanical problems to the supervisor.
• Support ISO9001 and Quality Management System requirements and attend meetings.
