Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED plus a minimum of six months Fred Meyer experience and one to two years of related retail experience, or relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum 18 years of age/19 in Alaska.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work weekends/nights regularly.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to travel independently on rare occasions.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes.
  • Ability to meet set time frames and deadlines.
  • Willingness to continue education.
  • Valid driver's license.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, RMDS, and company email.
  • Experience leading or participating in project teams.
  • Working knowledge of alarms, sprinklers, and printers.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Sell products and perform cashier functions.
  • Maintain compliance with signing, merchandising, recovery, fixtures, stockroom standards, policies, labor agreements, freight standards, and safety guidelines.
  • Verify stock levels and perform ad audits.
  • Process and file mail, maintain RMS compliance, participate in shrink control, and adhere to EAS standards.
  • Monitor overstock/understock conditions, conduct store tours, and follow up on attendance and sales data.
  • Address maintenance/repair needs, respond to customer comments/complaints, and complete incident reports.
  • Manage salvage, donations, credits, and online sales information.
  • Promote company initiatives and ensure store areas are inviting and reflect our values.
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
