Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Second language: speaking, reading and/or writing.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products within the department and store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Model excellent customer service, friendliness, and department cleanliness.
• Demonstrate creative merchandising and keep displays stocked.
• Be aware of product arrival dates and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Receive and utilize bulletins and announcements to drive sales.
• Complete all paperwork per company policy.
• Follow all current merchandising, service, cash control, labor, safety and loss prevention rules.
