Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in Utah seeks a team member to create an outstanding customer experience through friendly service and product knowledge. You will answer questions, stock and label merchandise, and maintain a clean, safe department that encourages customers to return.

Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals, monitor quality standards, follow health and safety codes, and help with merchandising and communication to promote store programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Ability to meet physical demands.
• Basic math skills: counting, addition, and subtraction.
• Second language: speaking, reading and/or writing.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions and suggest products.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes.
