Job summary

Kroger in Salt Lake City is seeking a customer service team member to deliver outstanding service, maintain a clean, safe store environment, assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, and uphold our core values of respect, integrity, and safety.

You will answer customer questions, stock and label merchandise, and follow company policies to ensure a positive shopping experience for every guest.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Second language: speaking, reading and/or writing.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products within the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
• Adhere to health and safety codes and maintain department cleanliness.
• Model friendly customer service and keep the department neat and organized.
• Keep displays stocked and merchandised according to standards.
• Be aware of product arrival dates and manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Assist with communications, paperwork and store policy compliance.
