Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a frontline team member to help create outstanding customer experiences and maintain a clean, safe store environment in Washington. You will assist customers, answer questions about products, and help with merchandising and stock control.

The role requires reliable attendance, basic math skills, and a willingness to learn about products and promotions. This is an on-site position with opportunities to contribute to sales and team success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Second language preferred (spoken/written).

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Observe scheduled shift operating hours.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Model excellent customer service and maintain a clean, orderly department.
• Demonstrate creative merchandising and keep displays stocked.
• Be aware of product arrival dates and ensure workloads meet deadlines.
• Complete paperwork according to policy and follow safety, loss prevention and cash controls.
