Job summary

IHA in Southeast Michigan is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent and Virtual Care teams on a per-diem basis. You will provide same-day care for pediatric and adult patients, diagnose acute illnesses, manage minor injuries, and collaborate with radiology and lab teams.

Flexible shifts include weekdays and weekends, with on-site support and advanced digital tools such as Epic and MyChart.

Qualifications

• Certified and licensed Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA).
• Eligibility for Michigan licensure.
• Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing same-day care for pediatric and adult patients.
• Diagnosing and managing acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Performing procedures such as laceration repair and splinting.
• Collaborating with on-site radiology and lab teams.
• Coordinating care with IHA’s multi-specialty providers.
• Utilizing EMR tools for documentation.
