Job summary

Toyota's CXD seeks a Principal Engineer I, App Release Management to coordinate complex releases across North America. You will lead end-to-end planning, align product, engineering, quality, and operations, and ensure high-quality, on-time deployments for customer-facing apps.

You bring 10+ years delivering software and releases, strong SDLC/Agile expertise, and proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Monday.com.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years delivering software, releases, programs, or projects with multiple stakeholders.
Experience supporting release management across mobile, web, cloud, SaaS, enterprise, or other customer-facing tech platforms.
Experience managing end-to-end technology initiatives, releases, programs, or projects with planning, deployment, validation, risk management, stakeholder coordination, production support, and issue resolution.
Demonstrated knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release management practices.
Experience using Jira, Confluence, Monday.com for planning and tracking.
Motor vehicle record acceptable by company standards.

Responsibilities

Drive release execution and coordinate end-to-end planning, ensuring quality and predictable deployments.
Manage end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of application releases.
Partner with product, engineering, quality, operations, security, and business teams to align priorities and schedules.
Identify and mitigate release risks, manage dependencies, track defects, and coordinate resolution.
Support mobile application certification activities, testing readiness, and app store submissions.
Apply Agile delivery practices to improve delivery predictability and customer satisfaction.
Develop release readiness assessments, production performance reporting, and stakeholder communications.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen release governance and collaboration.
