Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for Richmond, VA. You will partner with a Senior Project Manager on active heavy civil and highway projects, handling submittals, RFIs, procurement, and cost tracking from day one.

You’ll coordinate subcontractors, manage quantities, and contribute to owner and inspector interfaces. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate, with a base salary in the $110,000–$145,000 range.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years on heavy civil, highway, or utility projects.
• Experience with scheduling and cost tracking software is a plus.
• B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Run daily project tasks: submittals, RFIs, procurement, material tracking, and subcontractor coordination.
• Manage quantities, costs, and schedule updates; support monthly payment requisitions.
• Participate in weekly meetings and coordinate change management with project team.
