You will execute API tests (functional, integration, regression), review specs, troubleshoot with logs, and collaborate with developers in an Agile environment to deliver robust software releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA experience focused on API/backend testing.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with Postman or similar tools.
• Ability to read JSON and XML; write basic SQL queries.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience in Agile development with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute manual testing for APIs (functional, integration, regression, negative testing).
• Validate API endpoints using tools like Postman (payloads, headers, auth, error handling).
• Review API specs and identify edge cases or gaps.
• Troubleshoot issues using logs and backend data to identify root causes.
• Partner with developers to report defects and validate fixes.
• Perform end to end testing across systems and integrations.
• Validate data across APIs, databases, and services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, etc.).
• Maintain test documentation (test cases, plans, reports).
• Support QA process improvements and contribute to automation where possible.
