Job summary

Texas Instruments Incorporated is seeking an IT Site Reliability Engineer to own the Apigee Edge private cloud platform and provide SRE support across automation and DevOps tooling. You will partner with security, network, and infrastructure teams to ensure platform stability, security, and scalability.

The role combines API management operations with broader automation responsibilities, including CI/CD pipelines, IaC tooling, and incident management, across TI’s enterprise platforms portfolio.

Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in API management operations
• Experience operating Apigee Edge private cloud or similar API gateways
• Strong foundation in DevOps practices, automation, and IaC

Responsibilities

• Own Apigee Edge private cloud platform lifecycle from install to roadmap
• Manage and upgrade platform components (Management Server, Router, Message Processor, Cassandra, ZooKeeper, Qpid, Postgres)
• Develop and maintain monitoring, runbooks, and incident response for Apigee and related tooling
• Lead RCA and PIRs for incidents; drive reliability improvements
• Support API proxy deployment pipelines, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Enforce security hardening, TLS/SSL, OAuth, RBAC per TI policies
• Plan capacity and perform performance tuning across components
• Oversee backup, restore, and DR for Apigee components
• Liaise with Google/Apigee support and roadmap discussions
• Provide cross-platform SRE support across CI/CD, artifact management, and automation tooling
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams and runbooks
