Job summary

Perplexity is seeking a leader to oversee the developer experience across our API Platform. You’ll manage developer relations end-to-end and own how developers discover, adopt, and succeed with Perplexity APIs.

You’ll blend technical depth with craft and build a thriving community that trusts you as a champion for developers’ needs. You’ll lead public engagements, ensure excellent API ergonomics, and collaborate across docs, SDKs, CLIs, and cross-functional teams to scale adoption and customer

Qualifications

• Substantial experience on developer-facing products, preferably with growing adoption.
• Strong empathy for developers across experience levels and stacks.
• Detailed mental model of how developers learn about, evaluate, and select API products.
• Well-calibrated taste for API ergonomics; experience prototyping API-based products.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the developer experience portfolio across Perplexity API Platform.
• Craft and curate our developer-facing presence across docs, SDKs, CLIs, MCPs, and Agent Skills.
• Build and nurture a thriving developer community that evangelizes Perplexity's APIs.
• Represent the voice of the developer with priorities, success patterns, and friction points.
• Lead public engagement across developer events, social media, forums, and other channels.
• Define metrics for developer health and satisfaction; drive API Platform improvements.
