Job summary

API PA is seeking motivated individuals to join our temporary Fall 2026 canvassing program in Harrisburg area. You will engage voters door-to-door using the MiniVAN app, track conversations, and participate in trainings and debriefs under the guidance of a Civic Engagement Organizer.

The role offers flexible hours (30-33 per week, 6–8 hour shifts) at $23 per hour, with paid time off, holidays, travel reimbursement, and weekly pay; vaccination against COVID-19 is required unless an accommodation

Qualifications

• COVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless accommodation is granted.
• Ability to walk up to 2.5 miles per shift.
• Access to a cell phone and vehicle for transportation between canvassing sites.
• Some tech literacy: using cell phones/tablets, Google Maps, and a data-entry app.
• Conversational fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Door to Door Canvassing using the MiniVAN Canvassing app to engage voters.
• Tracking conversations in the canvassing platform provided.
• Participating in canvassing training and debriefing sessions.
• Participating in organization-wide meetings and events as directed by supervisor.
• Other duties as necessary.
