Job summary

Arclin in Richmond, VA seeks an API-certified MIQA Inspector to ensure the integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of fixed equipment. The role tests and inspects pressure vessels, piping, and tanks to support safe operations and continuous improvement across the site.

Key duties include leading MI activities, mentoring technicians, and coordinating inspections with internal teams and external contractors while upholding safety and quality standards throughout the facility.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical integrity or fixed equipment inspection experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• At least one API certification (510/570/653).
• Working knowledge of ASME, API, National Board, and applicable regulatory codes.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pressure vessels, piping, tanks and fixed equipment in accordance with company standards and applicable codes.
• Assess equipment condition and determine repair, alteration, or continued service recommendations.
• Prepare inspection reports, authorize inspection activities, and ensure timely completion of corrective actions.
• Support repair planning, fitness-for-service evaluations, and failure investigations.
• Coordinate and oversee third‑party inspection contractors and maintain documentation.
