Job summary

Sterling Pharma Solutions is seeking an API Manufacturing Chemist to operate process equipment and utilities safely, using the Allen-Bradley Control System and PLCs. You will conduct reactions from gram to multi-kilogram scale and analyze progress with TLC, GC, NMR, HPLC, and KF, while documenting results under GMP.

The role follows a 2-2-3 12-hour day shift (6:00 AM–6:30 PM), giving 14 workdays per month with every other weekend off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field or 3+ years of equivalent experience.
• Experience with GMP documentation practices is preferred.
• Ability to operate and interpret data from analytical instruments (TLC, GC, NMR, HPLC, KF).

Responsibilities

• Operates process equipment and utilities.
• Uses control systems to manage process operations and alarms.
• Performs reactions from gram to multi-kilogram scale.
• Interprets analytical data and makes decisions to optimize yields.
• Maintains production areas in a cGMP-ready state.
• Documents all results and procedures clearly per GMP guidelines.
• Identifies and troubleshoots equipment issues as they arise.
• Manages inventory transfers and usage documentation.
