Job summary

Sunbird Software Inc. is seeking an Integration Engineer to automate data flows by building REST API connections between Sunbird software and customer systems. You will work on device data integration, data migration, and automation pipelines using Python and SQL, with collaboration across customer-facing projects.

The role requires familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, GitHub, and Swagger/OpenAPI, plus introductory PowerShell and cross-platform CLI experience. Some travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• One year of experience providing customer support in a technical environment.
• Strong customer-facing project management, analysis, troubleshooting, and technical skills.
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and API-based system integration.
• Working knowledge of SQL queries and relational databases.
• Working knowledge of JSON data structures and data exchange.
• Working knowledge of GitHub source control and version management.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting.
• Introductory knowledge of PowerShell.
• Introductory knowledge of command-line use in Linux and Windows.
• Basic knowledge of Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
• Demonstrated basic technical knowledge of: computer hardware, Windows OS, and Excel XLSX/CSV file creation.
• Ability to work flexible hours with travel up to 10%.
• Adaptable and able to multitask and manage changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Integrate customers’ existing software with Sunbird software through REST APIs.
• Integrate customers’ facility management devices with Sunbird DCIM software.
• Develop, maintain, analyze, and debug Python code for integrations and data processing.
• Develop integrations using Python libraries and API/data-processing tools.
• Analyze, scrub, transform, and migrate customer data into DCIM systems.
• Process and correct raw customer data for migration and analysis.
• Troubleshoot API, data, and integration issues during implementation.
• Maintain integration and automation code in GitHub.
• Work with REST API documentation and Swagger/OpenAPI specs.
• Use SQL to retrieve and troubleshoot data.
• Use Linux/Windows CLI to support integration tasks.
