Job summary

PROtect LLC is seeking a Mechanical Integrity NDT Inspector to conduct inspections on vessels, piping and tanks at ethanol facilities in Peoria, Illinois. The role requires travel across the Midwest, week-long shifts and strict adherence to safety and documentation standards.

The candidate will perform multiple NDT methods, calibrate equipment, identify defects, and maintain thorough reports while working with customers and co-workers in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• NDT methods expertise in multiple methods.
• Mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willing to travel 3 weeks on projects with 1 week off; 6x10 hour shifts weekly.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and, with assistance, up to 150 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and insurability.
• API 510/570/653 certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct non-destructive testing of components and materials.
• Utilize appropriate NDT methods to perform inspections (API 510, 570, 653, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, visual).
• Select, prepare, load, calibrate, or operate NDT equipment.
• Identify defects using testing techniques.
• Complete documentation, work orders and reports per protocols and timeframes.
• Interact professionally with customers and co-workers.
